Water Under The Bridge

Lots of water under the bridge since my last post.

This is a pic of me, Mary-Ann, Isabella and new grandson Nico. He was born in May to Filipe and Joei. We visited in June. He's a month old in this pic.

Isablella is busy with soccer training. She is a forward on the Logan HS team. Her bowling really took off this Spring. She bowled a 703 series and almost had a perfect 300 game. She had ten strikes in the first ten frames (I was going crazy) then got seven on her eleventh ball and ended up with a 28

This is Chris' daughter Marlowe at one month. She was born in September.

This was an exciting week for all of us but especially Isabella.
First, on Monday she had her braces removed. What a beautiful smile.

Then on Saturday she bowled her best game and series ever. A 660 series with games of 237, 201 and 223.

Love Seattle

We had a great time in Seattle. Got to hold granddaughter Marlowe Raquel, and found out another grandchild is due in May. Chris and Mercedes are well and so proud of their beautiful daughter. Joei, Filipe and Miranda look great and were wonderful hosts. Even the drive was not that bad. Good visit all the way around.

Latest little Raquel news from Chris as of Thursday 6/10

We got home from the hospital yesterday afternoon. We had the house clean and ready beforehand, and Joei and Filipe had dropped off some food and dinners over the weekend, so we've been able to do nothing but concentrate on the baby. We actually got some decent sleep last night. When I put Marlowe right on my chest, she sleeps much longer than just swaddled in the co-sleeper.

Breastfeeding is going well, the poops and pees are showing up like they're supposed to, and everything is perfectly normal. We have our first pediatric visit tomorrow, maybe first vaccination, too. They wanted to vaccinate in the hospital, but the with the tube and electrodes already stuck in her, I told them Marlowe has had enough of that for a while.

I'm feeling very protective of Marlowe right now, so I'd like to restrict photos of her to that site I set up, and not on blogs and Facebook and such. I hope you understand.

While I was out running Mary-Ann put this note on our front door. That's how I know she really loves me (or the UPS guy).

Isabella's Logan HS JV team is 3 and 0 and she has scored three goals in three games. Last goal she out-fought, out-muscled, overpowered two defenders then beat the goalkeeper at the near post for a beautiful, unassisted goal. I really need to take a camera and post some pictures. Next game I promise.
